To further this goal, she pursued computer applications, hardcore programming and systems integration. She decided to begin her career from scratch, without drawing on her family resources & contacts. She launched Wizz O Tech, a pioneer in web-enabled content.

Business Community:
Wizz O Tech was responsible to start the Web Site era in Gujarat.

Student Community:
During her Wizz O Tech days when designers used to work on paper and canvas. She took the initiative of exposing them to computer designing. Gave them the necessary platform to exploit there potential and get introduced to the wonderful world of computer designing. When these designers did not even know how to use the mouse as there paint brush. Ruzan took special care to introduce them about the new upcoming computer techniques in designing. Thus this new learning experience gave the designers a great boost in there careers and as a matter of fact gave them a competitive edge against their other colleagues who did not have hands-on experience in using computers for designing.

Gaining momentum from this experience, with big dreams and large ambitions in her heart, she started an I.T services company with zero capital and has spent the last nine years building it into a small empire of her own. Today it is E Comm Opportunities, which stands as one of the premier Broadband ISPs in Ahmedabad.

E Comm revolutionized the Internet arena by developing and perfecting a Broadband solution called Internet through Ethernet. The company is the largest Broadband provider in Ahmedabad.

Indian Economic Growth:

In 1999 when she launched E Comm – The Broadband ISP co. She was clear that for the Indian Economy to grow one of the most important ingredients was Broadband internet. She could foresee this in 1999 and in fact started working on it which the Govt of India realized just in 2004 and released a Broadband policy. As a matter of fact today lot of Telecom cos. are now getting into the Broadband arena. Which once E Comm had initialised.

With new techniques and track burning speeds, she has made Internet, previously a luxury for only the rich, now available to the common man. Advantage common man:
At E Comm, we achieved quite a few global benchmarks. Our Broadband  service, alwaysONnet, launched in October 1999, provides always-on broadband connectivity at a price lower than dialup. It was her efforts which lead to “Death of Dial Up and Birth of Broadband”

Introduced VEN (Virtual E Network). A cost-effective solution for Brokers and Sub Brokers to do real time trading.  Ours was the first operational broadband network in India. (see annexure)

alwaysONnet  is based on an innovative ItE technology (Internet thru Ethernet), which could cover a radius of 10 km from the POP and create a very stable broadband network at the lowest cost in the world of just $25/subscriber including the Ethernet card. Comparable technologies like DSL, CMTS cost over $200 / subscriber including the modem. Using this technology, a 250-km backbone network was laid in Ahmedabad with 7 strategically located POPs.  This technology was sold to 2 more regional ISPs in India.

 
 

Innovative concepts:

Introduced the concept of co-promotion, online promotion/branding for the netizens of Gujarat. This also helped the co. to start a new revenue stream as well as gain mileage for its own co. E Comm and thus save on additional money outflow of the co. (see annexure)

Ruzan always believes in generation “Y”. In her co. you would find 95% of her team to be fresher i.e work force without experience. Normally all the cos. always look out for experienced people only. Ruzan looks out for fresher and gives them a chance/break in her co. to show there potential and come up in life. This in fact has greatly helped the fresher community to climb there first step in building up their careers and as we all know that how important and critical is this first step for a young student who is just stepping into the real world. This helps them to build up a strong foundation for their career and a strong foundation would be of a great boost to their future growth  and a race well begun is as good as half won.
 

Best Business practices:

Ruzan does not believe in picking anybody from competitive co. Till date none of Ruzan’s co. has any work force picked up from competition and she will never ever do that. She believes in moulding her own work force.
